Steven Lam

Our photographer, Steven Lam, is THE BEST!  We LOVE him (and Carmen) too!!

The weird thing about being a photographer is that you're sort of behind the scenes until you get to debut your pics.  It might seem like a photographer doesn't do anything, but really, they're the ones who capture the emotions and beauty of the day!!!

On the day of the wedding, in the midst of getting our makeup and hair done, Kelley & team, Steven & Carmen, and Curtis & Laura arrived in our hotel room.  I felt soooo bad b/c our room was like a GIANT mess (or at least it was in my opinion).  We had brunch/lunch everywhere; we had like 10 girls in the room; makeup & hair bags were everywhere...  But Kelley, Steven, et al., sort of swooped in and turned my room into this magically beautiful place!

My dress was beautifully displayed on the window sill (when it was in a giant bag hanging in the closet before).  Our rings were arranged and displayed with our bouquets.  My jewelry and shoes were next.  And after a blink of the eye, everything was put back and the boys had moved on to take pics of Russ and the groomsmen!

Before I knew it, it was time for the surprise white dance floor for me, the ceremony and then the reception!  Steven and Carmen got it all without being super intrusive on us.  They were following us everywhere to take candid shots, but we didn't even feel like they were there!  They were practically invisible!!

I'm sure there is a better way to describe their professionalism on the wedding day, but I'm sort of at a lack of words.  Everything felt very normal b/c Steven & Carmen were soooo professional and were able to capture the moment quickly and efficiently.  Even if they had to re-take a shot (b/c an overzealous guest jumped in the way), we didn't have to stand there uncomfortably.  And they totally respected the time line that Kelley created!  It was fantastic teamwork on everyone's part!

I can't wait to get our pics back from Steven!  That's when we'll have physical proof to back up our beliefs of how fantastic we think Steven and Carmen are!!  The best part is...we already have ppl asking us who our photographer was!  heehee.

Thanks Steven and Carmen for being the coolest bestest photographers ever!!!  And for making us so comfortable that our smiles were natural!  =)
