So Long 2009; Hello 2010!

Wow!  I can't believe 2009 is almost over.  In less than 6 hours, we'll be ringing in 2010!!!  Looking back, 2009 was an awesome year!  Here's a re-cap of the great highlights!

My Newest Obsession

Since the engagement, I religiously check a few wedding websites everyday, even when I'm busy at work!!  It makes me really happy to see such pretty photographs taken by such talented ppl and it helps for inspiration purposes!  =)

Merry Christmas!

For Christmas, we decided to split time b/t our families.  On Christmas Eve, we went to my Aunt's house and then on Christmas Day, we went to Vegas to visit Russ' family.  Christmas Eve was funny b/c we usu only open 1 present at my Aunt's house, but this time, we opened like 2 or 3 b/c I wouldn't be home on Christmas Day.

Early Christmas Present Opening

Russ and I are going to Vegas to see his parents on Christmas day/weekend.  Since we're doing that and we're going to my Aunt's house on Christmas Eve, it was going to be a bit difficult to open presents.  So...we opened them early!!  hehe.  Besides, I couldn't contain my excitement for Russ to open his presents.  =D

Our Re-Decorated Christmas Tree

On Sat, 12/19, Christina came over and she took one look at our tree and had two reactions:

1.  Is that a real tree b/c it is super cute!?!?!?!
2.  You seriously need help decorating!  Why do you insist on putting the big ornament on top??

So...Christina, after rummaging through my kitchen for food, proceeded to re-decorate our Christmas Tree.

Gingerbreadppl Decorating!

On Sunday 12/20, some ppl came over for a holiday get-together and gingerbreadppl decorating!!!  Russ couldn't go b/c he had a boys thing he was at, but Haeli, Audrey, Anita, Jason & Henry all came!  Malcolm was able to attend via Skype!

Our Christmas Tree

Since it was raining all weekend, we didn't get our Christmas tree until tonight!  Well, actually, we tried on Sunday, but the place we originally went to was extremely expensive (like $50 for a little 3 foot tree).  But by the time we got to Home Depot on Sunday night, they were closed!  *gasp*  I know!  How can they possibly be closed at 8:30 pm!!  Who knows!  But they were closed...

Hello Kitty in November

Hello Kitty turns 35 this year!  Can you believe it!?!?!  So, Audrey, Anita, Haeli & I went to visit the Three Apples Hello Kitty exhibit at Royal-T on Thurs, 11/12.  We initially thought about going a few weeks ago, but when I drove by it on a Saturday, there was a GIANT line out the door!!  When I say GIANT, I mean like 50+ ppl in line.  I heard from others that the line was about 2 hours long!!!  Luckily, we're somewhat smarter and went to the exhibit on a weeknight!  ;)

Dinner at Bottega Louie on 12/12

Since I'm now 26, Russ planned a bday dinner at Bottega Louie in Downtown LA.  If you've never been, you should totally go.  We love their drinks, their food, their dessert, their coffees, cappucinos.  YUMMY!!!

TJ is #1 Again!

To confirm the unbelievable smartness or genius-ness of Russ, his alma mater HS is #1 again on the US News and World Report for Best High Schools 2010!  TJ beat out Whitney!  YAY!  Go TJ!

I'm Officially 26!! ;)

Around Thanksgiving, Russ went with me to Trader Joe's a few times to buy last minute things for dinner.  I was totally bummed when we checked out b/c they didn't card me!!!  As we were walking out, I turned to Russ and gave him a sad face.  :(  Am I that old that I don't get carded anymore???!!!?!?!?!?!

I'm so exhausted And I think I found my BM dress!!!

This week has been quite hell-ish for me (and Russ).  I've got a trial starting on 12/7 and I've been working like 12+ hrs everyday this week!  I come home when the ppl who shut down bars/clubs come home!  ridiculous!

Our Save-The-Dates!!!!

We ordered our Save-The-Dates and received them in early November!  They're super cute!!!  It was totally all Kelley's idea!!  Seriously, she's awesome!!

Homework from Tiselle

Recently, Russ and I received a homework assignment from Tianyi, our invitations designer!  It was like going back to HS again!!  ;)  Tianyi gave us like 2 weeks to do the homework, but probably b/c we're all natural procrastinators, we didn't work on it until like 2 days before it was due!  hehe.

Living Cinema on The Bride's Cafe
