For the last few weekends, we've been on a scavenger hunt across WLA! It's not a real scavenger hunt; just one where we drive all over WLA looking for specific things we want for the wedding.
We have this great idea for the wedding, but we just need to implement it! So, I made a list of 10 things that we need for this project and we've been on a hunt all over WLA looking for it.
I was afraid Russ might get tired of running around, going from store to store, driving all over the place, walking around a lot, but he was a good sport and hunted with me! =) Russ made most of the decisions since I wanted to make sure he didn't feel like it was a complete waste of his weekends. Actually, he probably did think that, but he didn't tell me! ;)
On our first trip, we started out at around 10 am, went to the tailor, got some breakfast, went to a few swap meets and thrift shops, lunch, fabric shop and even Costco! We got back around 330; put everything away, and rested for a bit. Talk about being efficient! =)
After taking a break for about 20 min, we headed out to buy some more things for the wedding at Crate & Barrel and Nordstroms. After all of that, we found almost everything, except for 1 more thing. =)
We decided that on our second trip, we would need to hit more thrift shops and a flea market! But everything we went to sort of sucked and we ended up at a regular store, buying it at 50%! Oh well. At least we got everything! =)
